My daughter got Graves disease in 2001 [aged 14], had her thyroid out in 2002 and has been ill ever since. Too ill for school or work. Thinking it might be the thyroxine, we tried natural thyroid which caused St Vitus dance. Tried it a year later, same result. She’s back on 200 thyroxine and 30 T3 now. Recently a naturopath muscle tested her, bad response to Thyroxine but not to T3. Then she tried her on Computer Electro Dermal Screening, same result. Do you know what to do if she has no thyroid but is allergic to both thyroxine and natural thyroid? We live in Queensland but will go anywhere if someone knows of something she could use instead.
